Events with up to 100 people can go ahead at Spark Arena in the Red Traffic Light setting, based on 1-metre physical distancing. There are also Ministry of Health requirements that need to be met.

Do I need to be vaccinated to go to events at Spark Arena in the Red Traffic Light setting?
At Spark Arena, the health and safety of all our attendees and staff is our priority, and at the Red setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework we have some mandatory conditions of entry, including everyone of vaccination age being required to show a My Vaccine Pass as proof of vaccination. Processes are in place at our venues to verify visitors My Vaccine Passes.
Children under 12 years and 3 months old do not need to provide a My Vaccine Pass.
If you are unable to provide information about your vaccination status you will not be able to enter our venue.
Do I need to scan in when attending an event at Spark Arena?
Scanning in using the NZ Covid Tracer App or entering your contact details manually at points of entry is mandatory at Spark Arena.
Is mask wearing compulsory?
As we are a venue who runs events and serves food and drink, we must follow Ministry of Health guidelines that state masks must be used at our venue. You can take your mask off to eat or drink.
Face coverings must be an actual mask and for effective protection, it is essential that any mask used is well-fitting, used correctly, worn consistently and according to guidelines and instructions for their use. Find the mask that best fits to cover your nose, mouth, and chin without gaps above, below or on the sides.

Reusable masks (non-medical) fabric, washable
Non-medical single use masks
Medical masks
N95/P2 particulate respirators
What health and safety measures are in place?
All Spark Arena staff are vaccinated for COVID-19 and will be wearing facemasks at an event.
Cleaning of our venues, public bathrooms and offices takes place regularly in line with our enhanced on-site hygiene and safety measures.
If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms, been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, are subject to isolation requirements or have visited a location of interest we ask that you stay at home, do not enter Spark Arena.
What if I feel unwell while Im Spark Arena?
If you start to feel unwell during an event, you should advise a member of our team and then leave Spark Arena immediately. If you later learn you have tested positive for COVID-19, please call us on + 64 9 358 1250 or email us at info@sparkarena.co.nz. Your call will be treated with the strictest confidence. If calling outside business hours, please leave a message.
The event I purchased tickets for has been cancelled/postponed.
All details regarding event changes, revised dates and/or any cancellations including ticket refunds will be formally notified by Ticketmaster directly to the account holder. We will also post regular updates on the Arena webpage as new event information comes to hand.
